Scholastic Book Fair 2023 Recap

I wanted to take a moment to thank the parent volunteers so much for giving your time and effort to the Book Fair this past December. It really could not run without the support of parents.

Here are some fun facts about this year's Book Fair:

• Total number of cash register transactions: 747
• Number of times I sanitized my hands: approx. 10,000, if not more
• Amount donated by the community to support students in need: ~$700
• Students whose entire purchase was paid for with these donations: 28
• Students and staff whose purchase was partially funded by these donations: dozens, no idea how many! Scores of people who needed an extra buck or two.
• Number of Books purchased directly from the fair for the library using remaining donated amount and Scholastic Points: 20
• Most popular item: Diary of a Wimpy Kid No Brainer
• Profit: After a donation to PTO, around $2,500 will go back to buying books and supplies for the library.
