Friday Oct 6th at 9:00 am in the school cafeteria right after the PTO first Friday Coffee. If the coffee concludes earlier we will start earlier. Please join us if you can.

If you can’t make it but want to be a part of the committee please email Miriam Aschkenasy at We understand peoples schedules can be difficult and don’t want this to limit your participation – our next meeting will be virtual.

In our first meeting we hope to re-visit our mission statement and discuss how we want the committee to function moving forward. We are open to discussing all ideas. I will also update everyone on the the first equity in the classroom meeting co-chaired by Asa and myself.

The Heath School Diversity committee is committed to creating a learning environment that prepares students to become contributing members of a multicultural and interconnected society. The diversity committee initiates and supports efforts that enable the Heath community to become an increasingly diverse, inclusive and humanistic learning community. *

Diversity is a composite of many cultures, values and ways of interacting with one another. The dimensions of diversity include gender, religious beliefs, race, marital status, ethnicity, parental status, age, education, physical and mental ability, income, sexual orientation, occupation, language, geographic location, and many more components that may not be listed.**
