Free Showing of “SCREENAGERS” is sold out!
On Oct. 5, B-PEN (with funding from Brookline Community Foundation and Coolidge Corner Theatre) presents a free community showing at the Coolidge of “Screenagers,” an award-winning documentary on the impact of technology, screens, and social media on the lives of adolescents. This free showing “sold-out” very quickly, which is a testament to the importance of the subject matter, so B-PEN has been exploring options for another showing down the line. Did you know that the average kid spends 6.5 hours a day looking at screens? The new film SCREENAGERS uses poignant and unexpectedly funny stories along with surprising insights from experts to reveal how tech time impacts adolescent development. It also offers strategies to help adults empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance. B-PEN encourages parents and adolescents (geared for 5th grade and up) to this free screening of the film followed by a moderated discussion including BHS Peer Leaders.
